Educational Meeting Held at Baku Girls University

An educational meeting dedicated to the topic of family and reproductive health was organized for students at Baku Girls University. The meeting was attended by Kamila Aliyeva, Deputy Head of the Family Affairs Department of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Zumrud Kazimova, Deputy Head of the ISIM Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the meeting, the guests provided students with detailed information about the challenges faced by the family institution in the modern era and its role in society, family planning, reproductive health, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

It was noted that in recent years, the increase in the number of divorces, the decline in birth rates, and difficulties arising in family relations have become serious social issues attracting public attention. The speakers particularly emphasized the importance of preparing young people for family life, raising a healthy generation, and protecting reproductive health.

During the meeting, information was presented about the concept of reproductive health, the advantages of family planning, prevention of unintended pregnancies, regulation of birth intervals, and the importance of establishing families in a healthy and planned manner.

At the same time, students were provided with detailed explanations about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the importance of medical examinations, premarital medical check-ups, and protecting women’s health during pregnancy.

The importance of medical supervision during pregnancy, healthy nutrition, avoiding harmful habits, and protecting maternal health were also discussed during the presentation.

At the end of the meeting, the guests answered the students’ questions in detail and provided useful recommendations to the young participants.
