Summary
The article discusses the methodological aspects of teaching Russian as a foreign language, as well as the principles of selecting language material taking into account the language system. In the learning process, it is necessary to present the language system in such a way as to ensure communication, and the presented language rules must serve the processes of speech activity to achieve the communicative orientation of learning. The development of students' creative abilities, their ability for active speech activity and the formation of communicative competencies is the main goal of modern teaching of Russian as a foreign language.
