Summary
The article explores the role of the educational environment as a factor in developing and preserving cultural values of both the individual and society. It reveals the theoretical and methodological foundations of axiological and cultural approaches to education and analyzes the key functions and levels of the educational environment. Special attention is given to pedagogical technologies that foster students’ value orientation and to the teacher’s role as a mediator of culture. The study concludes that a value-rich and culturally oriented educational environment is essential for the sustainable development of society.
