Summary 

This article examines the role of ESG standards in shaping internal quality assurance systems within higher education institutions. It highlights how ESG principles support the development of a quality culture, strengthen institutional governance, and promote continuous improvement in teaching and learning. The study focuses on the alignment of internal quality processes with European practices, the effectiveness of monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, and the engagement of stakeholders in decision-making. The analysis shows that the integration of ESG standards enhances transparency, accountability, and overall institutional performance, contributing to the competitiveness and sustainability of higher education institutions.
