Summary

The study of language from the perspective of lexical and phraseological combinations helps to understand the cultural systems formed within that language. By paying attention to the structure of phraseological units and their semantics, while also identifying their linguocultural features, it is possible to conduct a gender analysis at both the male and female levels of language. This is because language, as a cultural phenomenon, carries all historically established and contemporary gender codes that have traditionally developed. The Russian language, like many other languages, contains phraseological expressions that reflect certain sociocultural characteristics of society. One such characteristic is gender differences, which are reflected in the phraseology of the Russian language. Gender differences in Russian phraseology are manifested in the use of certain expressions and idioms related to the gender of the person being discussed.
