The Second International Turkish World Women's Studies Conference took place at BGU

On January 28, 2024, the "INTERNATIONAL TURKISH AND WORLD WOMEN'S RESEARCH CONGRESS" was jointly organized by Baku Girls University and the Institute of Economic Development and Social Research of Türkiye (IKSAD).

The event began with the playing of the anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Türkiye, followed by a minute of silence in remembrance of heroes who sacrificed their lives for the homeland. A video showcasing Azerbaijani women who achieved notable milestones, pursued higher education, and left an indelible mark in history was shown.

Rector Professor Sevinj Rahimova of Baku Girls University delivered a speech, highlighting the heroic examples and sacrifices of women throughout history in shaping and safeguarding national and moral values. She stressed the importance of education for women and invited attendees to view a short film on the history of Baku Girls University.

Dr. Yıldız Saki, editor of "Turkish World Women's Studies" magazine, along with Dr. Seyhan Çankaya from Selcuk University, and Dr. Taner Gur from the Republic of Türkiye, Dilbar Haydarova  from  Ali Shir Navoi University of the Republic of Uzbekistan, addressed the audience during the conference. The artistic segment was followed by a tea break.

The panel featured impactful speeches on women's health, psychology, and work life by Dr. Nurangiz Rzayeva, Aygun Cafarova, Urfana Mammadova, Sayala Imanova, Ragsana Mammadova, and Khatira Baylarzadeh. The conference concluded with the presentation of certificates to participants and the capture of commemorative photos.
