The Department of Press and Public Relations was established in 2024 by the decision of the Scientific Council of Baku Girls' University. The department operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan, including "On Education" and "On Access to Information," as well as the Charter of BQU and other relevant legal acts.
Its primary role involves organizing and regulating activities related to the university's interactions with the media and public. To ensure transparency, the department covers university activities in the mass media, providing information through press releases, statements, interviews, speeches, and announcements. Additionally, it participates in preparing normative acts and organizational documents related to public relations.
The department actively responds to inaccurate information published in the media about the university, working to correct distortions. It aims to establish and maintain the university's relations with the public, facilitating media participation in organized events and communicating the university's achievements, upcoming goals, and image protection.
Key activities of the department
Key activities of the department include managing the Bqu.edu.az website, updating daily news in Azerbaijani, English, and Russian languages. It oversees the official social media accounts, such as the "Baku Girls University" Facebook page, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, and others, sharing news, videos, and photos about university activities.
Moreover, the department focuses on enhancing communication among university departments, informing teaching staff and students about ongoing work and future plans, organizing training and seminars to boost students' social activity, and supporting participation in local and international research programs. It also aims to increase the number and variety of students' social projects, ensuring their sustainability.
