Summary
This study examines the impact of student organizations operating in higher education institutions on students' social and academic development. The research analyzes the reasons for students' participation in these organizations, their role in university governance, and the overall influence of these organizations on the university's development. A qualitative research method was employed. To explore students' opinions on student clubs, researchers prepared interview questions. The study was conducted during the 2024 2025 academic year with 30 students from the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. According to the research findings, the primary reason students participate in student clubs is their desire to socialize and create a friendly atmosphere. Respondents noted that participation in student organizations helps them gain positive experiences, expand their social networks, and develop their worldview. They also emphasized that student organizations have a direct impact on university governance and that students take part in the decision-making process. However, some students stated that participation in student clubs did not provide them with any benefits. Among the students' suggestions for improving the activities of student clubs were increasing club engagement, organizing more trips, allocating more financial resources to clubs, and hosting entertaining events to attract student participation.
