Summary
The goal of teaching foreign languages is to provide young people with the knowledge that will enable them to speak two or more foreign languages. While learning a foreign language, young people should learn to enter the world of foreign cultures, discover different ways of life and traditions, and understand different values and mentalities. Successful communication depends not only on verbal skills but also on the ability to understand and respect various cultural topics. It is precisely the development of these skills and approaches that is facilitated by the concept of “intercultural dialogue”.
