Summary
This article analyzes the issue of developing tolerance skills in students in general education schools from the perspective of pedagogical and psychological aspects. Tolerance implies not only tolerance, but also instilling in students values such as social justice, empathy and respect for cultural diversity. The article presents constructivist pedagogy, social-emotional learning (SEL), inclusive education and intercultural learning approaches as effective tools in this area. Modern pedagogical practices, including cooperative learning, discussion-based lessons, democratic teacher-student relations and a school environment open to social diversity, are assessed as the main pillars of tolerance education. The results based on analyses and authoritative international sources show that the systematic development of these skills should begin at an early age in the educational process and require a strategic approach.
