Summary
Autism syndrome was first defined by psychologist Leo Kanner in 1943. He identified similar characteristics that he observed in the children he experimented with and called this syndrome “early childhood autism”. After that, in 1944, the Austrian psychiatrist Hans Asperger named some of the behaviors he saw in a group of children as “Autistic Psychopathy”
