The article explores the development and artistic embodiment of humanistic ideas in the stories of Agharahim Rahimov, a prominent figure of Azerbaijani children’s literature. Humanism is analyzed not only as a theoretical-philosophical category but also as a literary and pedagogical concept reflecting the moral world, lifestyle, and psychological features of children. Values such as friendship, compassion, kindness, respect for elders, care for the younger, and social equality occupy a central place in his creative work. The article emphasizes that Rahimov presents humanistic ideas not in a didactic or preachy manner, but through the real-life experiences, behaviors, and interactions of his literary characters. The use of artistic devices such as dialogues, inner monologues, nature descriptions, and psychological details enriches his stories both aesthetically and pedagogically. These features make his works engaging for young readers while simultaneously contributing to their moral education. In conclusion, it is highlighted that Agharahim Rahimov’s stories represent an important stage in the continuation and development of humanistic traditions in Azerbaijani children’s literature. His works serve not only the moral upbringing of the younger generation but also significantly contribute to the enrichment of pedagogical thought. Thus, Rahimov’s creativity carries both artistic-aesthetic and socio-moral value.
