Summary
Each activity in the lesson process is based on the text that constitutes the topic of that lesson. The reading content line includes two main standards. If the meaning of unfamiliar words and expressions is not sufficiently learned according to these standards (vocabulary and reading comprehension), it is impossible to fully comprehend the text. The “vocabulary” section in the content standards of Azerbaijani language teaching is important in this regard. In-text questions also serve to enrich vocabulary. The learner should explain the meaning of the given words in context. The determined meanings should be compared with the dictionary definitions and clarification should be made.
