Summary

The spiritual and cultural heritage of the Azerbaijani people has for centuries served not only the formation of aesthetic taste but also the upbringing of the younger generation. From oral folk creativity, epics, and fairy tales to classical poetry and Enlightenment realism, the theme of education and moral upbringing has held an important place. Classics such as Nizami, Nasimi, and Fuzuli emphasized human spiritual integrity and perfection through knowledge and morality as a central idea. In the literature of the 20th and 21st centuries, these ideas continued through themes of family, patriotism, and moral responsibility. In the works of the contemporary writer Agharahim Rahimov, the issues of upbringing receive particular attention. His writings focus on purity of conscience, spiritual values, teacher-student relationships, and the healthy development of youth. Thus, the ideas of upbringing in Azerbaijani literature represent an important tradition that comes from the depths of centuries and still retains its relevance today.
