Summary
The topic of forming a sense of national pride and nurturing a patriotic spirit in young schoolchildren on the example of national heroes is of great importance in the modern education system. The primary school age is the stage when the foundation of children's moral values, loyalty to the homeland and awareness of national identity is laid. In this regard, the protection of national-moral values and their instillation in the younger generation occupy a special place in the educational process.
The study shows that teaching the life and activities of the National Heroes of Azerbaijan, presenting examples of their bravery to students in an age-appropriate manner, strengthens children's love for the homeland, loyalty to the land and a sense of responsibility.
