Summary
The article analyzes the modern concept of teacher education and its development prospects in the context of global educational challenges. Socio-economic changes, digital transformation, and the knowledge-based economy have created new requirements for teacher preparation. In this regard, the renewal of curriculum content, the application of innovative methods and technologies, and the enhancement of practice-oriented training are identified as key directions. The study examines the competency-based approach and explores the development of teachers' professional, communicative, digital, and ethical competencies. It also highlights the importance of humanistic values and inclusive education principles in teacher education. Furthermore, the role of higher education institutions, quality assurance, integration of international experience, and continuous professional development of teachers are analyzed as key research directions.
