Summary
The main objective of this article is to investigate the classification of the possessiveness category as a universal linguistic and cognitive phenomenon, as well as to examine its structural and semantic realization across different languages. The study analyzes how possessive relations are formed in typologically diverse languages, particularly in terms of morphological and syntactic means of expression. At the same time, the semantic structure of possession- defined as the relational link between the possessor and the possessed-is identified, and the central role of the human referent within this structure is emphasized. The article also systematically examines the functional-semantic significance of personal pronouns in possessive constructions.
