Summary
Although certain steps have been taken in recent years regarding the recognition of non formal and informal learning in Azerbaijan, the mechanisms implemented in this field are still in a developmental phase. Currently, the recognition process is mainly applied in vocational qualifications and involves the identification and documentation of knowledge and skills acquired through non-formal and informal means. However, several challenges remain, including the incomplete institutionalization of the recognition system, limited regulatory and legal frameworks, low engagement from society and employers, underdeveloped assessment mechanisms, and the lack of accredited centers.
